LolliBoppin'

The culture & events teams are pretty used to being in fields, battling with guest list queues and generally mucking in in any festival situation but this weekend tested new levels of stamina as they headed to LolliBop with John Lewis. As headline sponsors of the ‘big bash for small people’ we were tasked with bringing that ethos to life for John Lewis –  cue some of the best, silliest and damn right childish brainstorms we’ve ever had.

John Lewis Lane

What we ultimately came up with was the ‘The littlest street in London’ – a miniature street offering children (and some adults) the ultimate play experience – and, so, John Lewis Lane was born replete with a grocery store, a pet shop (naturally with balloon animals), a gadget shop, a music shop, an art shop and the fancy dress shop! Sounds exhausting – it was – but was also one of the easiest to implement and the most fun to build – a whole shop full of Cuddly toys – we even saw the hardy Sian digress into child hood play at the sight of balloon animals, even though she actually asked for an alien!

3 days and no beers, now that’s a record. Roll on LolliBop 2013!
